Since the first week of October, the Yacht Club employees didn’t take a rest. As you have seen, our workers switched between maintenance and cleaning projects for the building. Our residence is improving its equipment. Recently, they installed glass panels in the lobby to enhance the design and the safety of our wonderful building. Good news, the exterior side of all unit doors will be cleaned and wiped down. They also just planted new beautiful shrubs in front of our offices, next to the valet. By the way, did you notice that to come to our office the best way now is thru the hallway next to the lobby.

In addition, the Annual Preventative Maintenance Project has just begun. Our engineers will be accessing all units to check balconies, windows, smoke detectors, bathrooms or the conditions of the doors.

Moreover, the next board meeting is approaching quickly. If you are not in the building on the 20th of October, don’t hesitate to participate, thanks to ZOOM. Contact the management for any questions. They will support you in the process.

In addition, every second and fourth Monday of the month, Marlin Exterminating will visit all the units to spray insecticide in your unit.

I kept the best till the last; Halloween party! The Yacht Club’s party will occur on the 27th of October from 5pm to 7:30pm at the Pool Deck. On the menu candies, chocolates and incredible costumes. Residents will have the opportunity to decorate a spectacular table with tricks or treats. Be careful the number of tables is limited. If you are interested, contact the management to reserve a table as soon as possible.

The shop is opening again soon! Last week, workers were down here at the Yacht Club working on the facade of the coffee shop.

Lately, we’ve also seen workers finishing up the elevators area, and I have to say, it looks very good!

Like all of you, I cannot wait for everything to be completely finished, patience, soon enough our wonderful building will be flawless.

As we all noticed, the elevators haven’t been operational for a few days now. It has been quite hectic in the temporary lobby as the average wait for a cabin increased.

There are 5 cabs in total at the Yacht Club, as of now :

➜ Cab 3 & Marina elevator are fully functional.

➜ Cab 1 & 4 are functioning, but not responding to hallway calls, therefore the YCP staff is here to help you and transport the residents where they need to go.

➜ Cab 2 is Out of service.

The vendor Thyssen Krupp is currently repairing the non-operational boards, they aren’t able to confirm an estimated time of arrival for now.

I will keep you updated every step of the way, in the meantime, let’s see the bright side of it and get to know our neighbors better whilst traveling throughout the building!

The management and maintenance team are doing their best to fix this issue as soon as possible.

I hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy and indoors ! Because I wasn’t and just stayed a week at home after catching  a flu …. We Miamians are not used to this cold front !

This beginning of the year will see the return of our favorite Italian Bistro at the Yacht Club. I seriously miss it ! From coffee to a salad it’s a great amenity

The target date for the welcome back is April 1st, 2022. In the meantime, the hood will be installed, as soon as the city has approved the permit. We are looking forward to having our coffees and lunch nearby again!

About the Lobby, due to multiple delays, the target date is now March 1st, 2022. Meanwhile, a temporary desk will be installed following the schedule below:

➜ February 1st,2022: temporary desk delivered & new computer-delivered

➜ February 4-25th, 2022: computer-integration, elevator panel camera, phone connection, monitor install, and programming

➜ February 7th – 18th, 2022: Wall paneling, in order to continue working on certain portions of the lobby.

➜ February 1st, 2022: new valet stand delivered

Some other activities will occur simultaneously to the lobby opening:

➜ February 7th, 2022: retail space storefront

➜ March 28th, 2022: millwork at the mailroom

➜ March 4th, 2022: exterior lighting installation

➜ February 10th, 2022: sculpture installation

➜ May 23rd, 2022: garage door installation

The majority of the work will occur at night from 11 pm to 7 am to avoid any disturbance in our community. The biggest question is when will I get my office back ? I ordered my office desk for mid February delivery which is probably when I’ll be out of my tiny closet and happy to welcome you again in a prestigious new office.

What are the updates for the lobby itself? Well, the hallway and the bathrooms of Phase 1 is almost over finished. Check out the pictures hereafter of the new bathrooms. They look awesome.

In the next few weeks, they should start with Phase 2 which is the elevator landing of the Yacht Club at Portofino. This means that within 4/5 months they will start the lobby itself.

Regarding the deli, we might have back a deli that serves cooked meals and brews us some coffee since the building is getting quotes from different vendors to put a grease trap as per the city regulations.

Let’s check out the deals you can find at the Portofino Yacht Club this month. Unit #1207 is listed at a great price for $415,000 but if you have the means I would go for the best deal which is #3007 listed for $449,000. The view is gorgeous from that floor height.

Then if you want to buy a 2 bedroom at the Portofino Yacht Club you have a lot of choices which means you can negotiate the price down. All of the ones facing the ocean are in the high $600’s.
